The annual Structural Steel Design Awards took place at the Banqueting House in Whitehall last night, and members of the Joseph Ash Galvanizing team were there.
It was a particularly special evening as the SSDA celebrated its 50th anniversary.
50th anniversaries normally mean gold, and six winning projects definitely struck gold last night!
The six winning projects, out of a shortlist of 22, were:
- Bloomberg London
- Jaguar Land Rover Engine Manufacturing Centre
- Knostrop Weir Foot and Cycle Bridge, Leeds
- London Bridge Station
- The Ordsall Chord Viaduct
- V&A’s Exhibition Road Quarter, London
All shortlisted and winning entries scored highly in categories ranging from efficiency and innovation, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
Mick Jackson from Joseph Ash Galvanizing said: "Last night's event was a huge success. The standard of entries for the Awards was amazing this year, and it was great to celebrate the successes with the shortlisted projects teams, and the winners. Well done to the BSCA for another excellent event."
